Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Stahlvest a small investment company?
A: No, Stahlvest is an adviser that will supervise or manage money or
assets, in your best interest, that are usually held by a large properly qualified custodian
company. Like a trustee for you, Stahlvest joins your side to guide,
advise or manage your investment accounts at a variety of appropriately
qualified financial companies (custodians). This advisor role means it
is easy for you to keep your investments with a custodian and obtain
assistance from Stahlvest or switch to an adviser other than Stahlvest
should you ever desire or require. Meanwhile custody can remain with
your bank or other financial firm. Stahlvest utilizes some of the most
widely recognized financial companies and trading systems, including
highly skilled back office services that provide exceptional efficiency
and market reach.
Q: Is Stahlvest expensive?
A: Most customers will discover how Stahlvest often saves them money by
obtaining better prices for many popular investment securities or
products. Stahlvest is an independent advisor that is not bound to
promote "sell-side" brand name inventory, and is free to shop around
for the best exchange of many securities. Most importantly Stahlvest is
free to serve your best interest, not bound to push a company product or
inventory, and this reality alone can avoid very costly investment traps
due to unsuitable product promotion. Beware of product sales agents.
Q: Is it easy to assign my account to Stahlvest?
A: In most cases it is 100% electronic and simply requires your
signature on new account paperwork and a copy of your existing account statement. If your account isn't
held by an appropriate custodian, account transfer systems used
by Stahlvest can also retain and transfer your "cost-basis" records (for
tax reports) as well. Transfer can be free or a minimal expense, so
check with Jim Stahl of Stahlvest for a free
evaluation of your current custodian and the possibility to transfer
your holdings.
